Chrystal Phan is a Canadian artist of Vietnamese heritage working primarily in oil on canvas. Her work focuses on interpreting the world through a lens of existential confusion and frustration. These sentiments are expressed in various series of works, from nocturne landscapes to genre paintings of her own family’s life.
Since first exhibiting in group shows in 2019, she has received support from the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation, the Canada Council for the Arts and was a finalist for the International Boynes Emerging Artist Award in 2022.
Her works are housed in private collections across North America and the Royal BC Museum.
