This exhibition celebrates the beauty of Canada’s diverse landscapes. Chloé Giroux-Bertrand explores the West Coast through layered compositions that merge painting, photographic transfer, and memory, while Darrell Underschultz captures the enduring and dramatic beauty of the natural world through luminous colour and atmosphere. Together, their works invite viewers to experience the landscape as both a physical place and a deeply personal encounter.

For Chloé, this collection was created out of a West Coast road trip:

“Last year, I had the opportunity to go on a road trip around Victoria, Nanaimo and the surrounding islands, seeking images and inspiration to create a new body of work infused with the Pacific sea air and the distant Rockies. I gathered discoveries and moments of wonder at every turn of the road, ultimately creating this series to capture the essence of what I felt when faced with these magnificent landscapes; the movement of wild grasses, a sweeping field by the highway, and, of course the vastness of the ocean.”

Show: August 7th - 21st
