This painting is the ceremony and sacrifice of the flesh, through a bacchic frenzy. The figure is thrown into the darkness only to be pulled into the fire. Creating that state of in-between, falling and jumping, this painting shows the final steps of the coming to terms of accepting reincarnation of fully stripping the idea of physical self.
