Christine Boyer

Christine Boyer is not afraid to tackle large scale pieces, using her training as a scene painter in the theatre world to work big and bold. She utilizes the principles of Scandinavian design - minimal, modern, simplistic - in her signature pieces, drawing on her own Danish heritage. 

Christine moved to Vancouver Island in 2011 from Toronto, Ontario after visiting the Comox Valley on a family vacation. Trained as a scene painter for theatre, her work is large scale. Christine draws on her Scandinavian roots and the beauty of the outdoors for inspiration in her abstract acrylic paintings. She operates Kyst Hus Studio in East Courtenay where she lives with her husband and young family.
